Appreciate the look into the obvious. How about a deeper look? Take the notion that your virtue is God delivered, sealed and delivered for you to use according to Jesus. And now, remove the names. And places. And the likes of what history and its own set of notions has created from the likes of the fallen. Or simply lost. What is left?

You.

And therein, lies the truth. You. Many things but within the obvious lies the other, not so obvious.

I wonder myself about the nature of who we are and in the end I find myself at the beginning. Not according to a person or time or otherwise set of rules of wrangling. But where you, and I found ourselves sans the notions and preaching and the thou shall and shall nots. To you and me...and the self, one with the spark and the light from within. Our conscious unleashed.

The church today is a man's construct alien from the likes of Jesus or his methods and intentions. Alien and daunting, it haunts the minds of the lessor souls. Or worse, tending to the ignorance among us. Those who would knell for an eternity before relying on their own conscious for taking a stand. Sad. And sadder yet, it continues.
