Authenticity is a strange cat. Part feral. Part domestic. And a whole lot of what nature is meant to be, an adapter to whatever comes its way. Authentic selves in modernity and post modernity are nothing less. Yet, beyond adaption is the need to be honest with the likes of what is true and genuine within the self aside from nature. That is where the rubber hits the slippery slope. And the fun begins.

I really enjoyed the essay. The nature of authenticity is as grand a subject as anyone who seeks can imagine. Unless you find yourself surrounded by the likes of those who are group thinking their way into eternity.
