Interesting...and compelling and so goes many salient truths which are indisputable except the last one.

There is a fact hanging out someplace among your thoughts which is not made clear. To wit, we are born with specific callings...nature if you like...which can never be altered. Its actually stronger than your ego. Artists are born. Great artists take time...and more...like abiding to the truth of who they are as the culture...parents come early while hanging around forever...that attempt to disrupt the nature but in the end we are all on a discovery mission to come to terms with that...our true nature no matter the culture's intentions. In contrast to your last statement, I would suggest we can not be anything we wish. We can only be what we are meant to be. The rest is somewhere in the culture wishing what it wants most.
