Interesting concept, the English translation of a Greek translation of the original text likely translated multiple times before that. The sad nature of it is its intentions. Sad and sadder yet, is yours. But that fact aside, the original Assyrian language of this prayer had an entirely different " original" intent and meaning. Study it and find the truth of its origins. Find that and you will begin to wonder what you have got yourself into. And there, truth be known. And as in all truths, facts don't lie.
Think about it. And think hard before you jump to modern day conclusions about a simple prayer that has now been retrograded, and nestled into a perfect fit alas, modern day agendas.
