The essence of toxicity among the "true believers" ..and their first kin ala "born again" and those others bearing tribal mandates is the foundational truth of their baseline fear. Fear of trial. Fear of external realities when not consistent with their original world views, while fear, fear and most of all, more fear where that comes from.

Christians of your description are all, each and all, toxic by nature via projection. Projection of their own fears off on those individuals who they deem threats to exposing those fears. Control is all things when fear is your guide.

The individual surrounded and enveloped by the faithful, the cabal of sacred sorts, attacks with a cross in one hand a Bible in the other. What shame. What harrowing consequences. All because fear could never be overcome, never reconciled with and then the signing up to likes of the take a ride on the easy train came along. And along they go, off to their eternity. One lie, then the next until the lives derail as the inevitable approaches. Sad. And worse, ever so true.

The Christian God doesn't make Christian beliefs. Or acts. Or fears. Christians do. Not Jesus Christians but modern day Church derived Christians. They are not near the same. And never will be as long as fear is the underlying motive for joining the cabal.
