The trek into and out of the mystery is where the soul comes to light. Your trek, the souls five star affair. And yes, as you state so well, the dark night of the soul when only then the star can truly be aglow. I love the notion. And better yet, have embraced such affairs of mystery and the soul. War does that to a boy. Divorce does that to a man. Businesses kaput and kaput once again does that to the older man as the mystery unfolds.

To be shot at is one thing. To be surrounded with family who wish you belong, to conform to them over the likes of what remains after the dark night of the soul, a night illuminated by tracers pointed at your forehead., the darkness continues. Forget the heart, it was long departed. The dark night ensued. And once again, long after the battle is fought. Alas, another rapidly approaches. What's not to like here?
